Our Cliffs and Caves tour of Liscannor Bay does just that, explores the cliffs and caves along this spectacular stretch of coastline! We delve into sea caves, and around sea stacks, while paddling alongside the growing hills that eventually become the Cliffs of Moher. (PLEASE NOTE: due to obvious safety reasons, we DO NOT paddle to the base of the Cliffs of Moher. This tour leaves Liscannor Pier and heads North towards the start of the Cliffs only.)
Our tour starts in Liscannor at the pier, with spectacular panoramic views of Lahinch and the south coastline of Clare. As we hug the rugged coast, there is excellent opportunity to see many different species of seabirds, particularly in the bird sanctuary.
As we paddle onwards, unique caves appear – some with enormous cathedral-like ceilings, others with narrow passages. Sometimes we even catch a view of shy sea otters fishing inside the dark caves!
This is a great tour for those looking for something a bit different, and perhaps a bit of adventure!
**Please note: this tour is extremely weather dependent and often cannot be run. This tour requires little to no swell, little to no wind and a close to full tide, in most cases we will be able to offer an alternative tour.
