Our tour of Liscannor Bay explores the coastline along this spectacular stretch of Clare! Our tour starts in Liscannor at the pier, with spectacular panoramic views of Lahinch and the south coastline of Clare. As we hug the rugged coast, there is excellent opportunity to see many different species of seabirds, particularly in the bird sanctuary.

As we paddle onwards, unique caves appear – some with enormous cathedral-like ceilings, others with narrow passages. Sometimes we even catch a view of shy sea otters fishing inside the dark caves! Due to recent landslides, we do not enter the caves, but instead follow the rugged coastline.
This is a great tour for those looking for something a bit different, and perhaps a bit of adventure!

**Please note: this tour is extremely weather dependent and often cannot be run. This tour requires little to no swell, little to no wind and a close to full tide, in most cases we will be able to offer an alternative tour.

THIS TOUR DOES NOT GO TO THE CLIFFS OF MOHER.

note :
All tours are weather dependent.

We can accommodate families and children as young as 10 in our 3 tandem kayaks. We can put together packages for team building, stags, hens and family groups.

Awesome day on the water!

Great experience on the water along the cliffs at Liscannor. They were very attentive to the group's varying skill levels and kept everyone together. Really good way to see the cliffs - note you do not see the Cliffs of Moher - but very cool cave spots and some dramatic views. Patrick also points out some nice history along the shore line - very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend - and a really good workout too!

Great Cliffs & Caves tour yesterday!

My daughter and I spent a wonderful few hours yesterday with Patrick and a few others, paddling along the rugged coast of Liscannor, Co. Clare. it was great getting up close and personal with the cliff faces -- even paddling around some sea stacks and into a few caves. Patrick was very helpful, informative and supportive the whole way. And we saw a pod of dolphins to boot!

Great experience!

Originally we booked to do the Ciffs & Caves tour at Liscannor, as we were staying there. The sea conditions were to be bad so we were offered the Galway Bay/Burren tour. We done this tour at 10am on the day we were leaving to go home. Our guide was Patrick and he was fantastic! Very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding areas where we kayaked. The overall experience was great, apart from getting stuck on rocks! lol but Patrick was very much to the rescue! The views are amazing, the weather was great and the time flew by! Would recommend this tour to any water/nature lovers.

Amazing Experience-Great People

Myself and four friends booked a four hour sea-kayaking session, just one of us had done it before and we were keen to give it a go. We met Patrick and Michael in the harbour in Liscannor at 8 a.m. On Saturday and they briefed us on all the safety aspects and made us all comfortable with the equipment etc. Patrick has an obvious passion for kayaking and the sea and the weather was incredibly good for the time of year.
This part of North Clare has some of the most beautiful seascape in the world as evidenced by the millions of tourists who travel to the Cliffs of Moher nearby, we were lucky enough to see them from the ocean which was totally unforgettable.
I really can't recommend this company enough- they provide a professional and friendly service which offers an amazing chance to see nature from a totally different perspective.
From booking the trip with Kelly- Patricks' Wife and all her great help with our questions and scheduling to climbing out of the kayak at the end, it was a fantastic experience.
If you're coming to Ireland- try to see it from a sea kayak, we'll definitely do it again..

Family kayaking trip

We had a lovely morning in Ballyvaughan, out on the water. The guides were very keen to share their knowledge of the sea, local area, local weather and local folklore. They were very patient and made sure we saw lots of seals and other sea creatures. We all felt very safe all the time and really enjoyed the experience, despite the incessant rain. I would highly recommend the experience and all our group would love to return.

A great outing in North Clare

Had a fabulous kayaking tour around Ballyvaughan Bay this morning with the North Clare Sea Kayaking Tour Company. It was a wet morning but we were not a bit cold with our wetsuits. We were complete novices to kayaking but it was all very straight forward and all age groups (11, 13, 15, 50+) managed to get the hang of it and thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hours out and about. We got to enjoy different views of our regular haunts in this part of Clare and the sights and sounds of sea and bird life. Patrick and Pádraig kept us well informed and safe and sound. Will definitely be back for another tour soon.
